(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) --The focus will be on the faculty for the first art show of the season at The Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC), when the college’s own Visual Arts faculty members will put their personal works on display. The “2019 MCCC Visual Arts Faculty Exhibit” runs from Tuesday, September 10 through Thursday, October 10. According to MCCC’s gallery director, Alice K. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Virgil Ortiz: Odyssey of the Venutian Soldiers, a new exhibition at the Montclair Art Museum (MAM), showcases a striking light-infused wall mural and dramatic videos created by famed Pueblo artist, Virgil Ortiz. A number of Oritz’s exquisite ceramic vessels and figurines, on which the artist painted comic-book and sci-fi imagery that shows a heavy influence of contemporary art, are also on view. The exhibition is open at MAM September 14, 2019 through June 21, 2020. ... (TRENTON, NJ) -- Pioneering video artist Nam June Paik and the monumental public art installation he created in Trenton will be the subject of “PBS (1963-2000), Then and Now” which will be on display at Artworks Trenton from September 14 – October 19.  This exhibition will focus on Paik, considered one of the most innovative artists of the 20th Century, and will detail how he came to create his neon and video Trenton masterwork, which recently underwent a full restoration after being unlit for more than a decade.... (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton University Library’s new exhibition explores the transformation of text production and distribution across Europe during a revolutionary 20-year period, featuring the Gutenberg Bible and an unprecedented selection of early printed books held by Princeton’s Scheide Library, as well as loans from nine leading libraries in the United Kingdom and North America. The exhibition is on display now through December 15, 2019, in the Ellen and Leonard Milberg Gallery, located in the Firestone Library lobby. ...
