(BURLINGTON, NJ) -- National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Mary Anne Carter has approved more than $84 million in grants as part of the Arts Endowment’s second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2020. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award of $10,000 to ArtPride New Jersey, the state’s largest cross-discipline arts service organization, for increasing arts journalism in New Jersey. This is one of 1,015 grants nationwide that the agency has approved in this category.... READ ON

(BALTIMORE, MD) -- Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF), in partnership with their  sister Regional Arts Organizations (RAOs), has announced the United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund to support arts organizations across the country with a generous investment of $10 million from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The Fund will be jointly administered by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, Arts Midwest, Mid-America Arts Alliance, New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA), South Arts, and the Western States Arts Federation.... (CAPE MAY, NJ) --  The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) was born in 1970 when a small band of passionate volunteers committed themselves to save the Emlen Physick Estate (shown circa 1970) from demolition.The exhibit “50 Years of MAC” will highlight the organization’s history and its contribution to the preservation of historic Cape May, telling the story of an organization that has helped Cape May not only survive, but thrive.  It will be on display from March 27 through Sunday, November 1 in the Carroll Gallery in the Carriage House of the Emlen Physick Estate.... (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The name Roger Duvoisin is familiar to Zimmerli audiences: the museum’s gallery dedicated to its collection of original children’s book illustrations is named in his honor, more than half of that collection consists of Duvoisin’s artwork, and numerous exhibitions have celebrated this beloved author and illustrator. Now, Mood Books: The Children’s Stories of Alvin Tresselt and Roger Duvoisin delves into one of the most important aspects of his career, a partnership with author Alvin Tresselt that spanned three decades and resulted in 18 books. ...
