Black Box PAC presents An Evening with Paul Schrader

"Things are going great man," says an elated Mikey V of Chains Over Razors. "We've been working this record with Deko and just rocking the charts. Our third single made the top twenty, which is fantastic and we're really excited about that.The first single hit number nineteen, the second hit number fifteen and this one is being received well.The album is self-titled, "Chains Over Razors;" our "Led Zeppelin" route for that (laughs) and it came out last March, we've been releasing singles since April or Mid-March of 2023; the year has gone by fast."

Kean Stage presents ReelAbilities New Jersey

(UNION, NJ) -- Kean Stage presents ReelAbilities New Jersey with screenings from Thursday, February 29 to Saturday, March 2, 2024. This film festival celebrates the lives, stories and artistic abilities of people with all types of disabilities through award-winning short and feature-length films. Films can either be screened in person at Kean University or viewed virtually from home. In-person screenings take place in the North Ave Academic Building (the corner of 1000 Morris Ave. and North Ave.) on the Kean University campus in Union.








State Theatre New Jersey Announces Milk & Cookies Series for Spring 2024

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey has announced the spring performances for the storytelling and music series, Milk & Cookies. Included in the lineup this spring is Suzi Shelton on Saturday, March 9 and Amelia Robinson of Mil's Trills on Saturday, May 18. Each show includes a 10:00am and a 12:00pm performance. Tickets are $5 and include a cookie and carton of milk after the show for every child.

Gallery Episode presents "Sound of Nature" by Seungmee Yoo

(LEONIA, NJ) -- Gallery Episode presents "Sound of Nature," a solo exhibition featuring artist Seungmee Yoo from March 1-8, 2024. Seungmee Yoo has been a painter for over 40 years, receiving her MFA in Painting from Seoul National University of Science & Technology. Since immigrating to the United States in 2000, Yoo has continued to paint full time and has exhibited in cities in Korea, Japan, and the United States. "Sound of Nature" will feature paintings from throughout Yoo's artistic career, as well as more recent paintings that were created in preparation for her exhibition in Tokyo later this year.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

Frank Hanavan's Hoboken is wet. In his streetscapes, surfaces glisten. The sky is rarely glowering, but it does seem full; ready to have something to say, or wrapping up something that it is busy saying.
