NJ Rep presents the World Premiere of "Pen Pals" starring Nancy McKeon and Gail Winar

(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) by special arrangement with Lisa Dozier Shacket, will continue its 27th Season with an added special presentation of the world premiere of Pen Pals by Michael Griffo, directed by SuzAnne Barabas. Performances run from October 3 through October 20, 2024. The production stars Nancy McKeon and Gail Winar.

Ali Keller's "(un)conditional" named SoHo Playhouse's 2024 Lighthouse Series Winner

(NEW YORK, NY) -- SoHo Playhouse is thrilled to announce Ali Keller's (un)conditional, directed by Ivey Lowe, as their 2024 Lighthouse Series winner. The series features amazing works by NYC's talented up-and-comers. A competition, first of its kind, specifically designed to showcase the best new talent and writers across the New York City area. Starting with 15 semi-finalists, audiences chose the six finalists. From this group an overall winner was picked by SoHo Playhouse to receive a full Off-Broadway production in 2025. Internationally acclaimed cellist Mo Mo joins NJFO for season opening concerts

(WESTFIELD, NJ) -- Under the baton of Maestro David Wroe, acclaimed guest cellist Mo Mo joins NJ Festival Orchestra (NJFO) to perform the Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon Concerto, a concert work based on Tan Dun’s score for Ang Lee's Oscar-winning mystical martial arts film. Mo Mo, from Beijing, China, was specially selected by composer Tan as one of the few official performers of his Oscar-winning score, originally written for Yo Yo Ma. Mo Mo will perform with NJFO in Westfield on September 27th and September 29th in Basking Ridge.

“Seeking external validation isn’t healthy.” “Always prioritize yourself, take care of your body and mind.” “You must accept and love yourself before you can love someone else.” …Really? Whenever I open YouTube, there are always those people: demonstrating Pilates tutorials in front of their panoramic view windows or sharing “super easy, low carb” chia seed pudding recipes, smiling, radiant, and effortless. Through their Morandi-colored filters, it seems “changing for the better” is merely one inspirational slogan away, and all we lack is determination or “the right mindset.” “Embrace your imperfections; there is always a way to cure you.” Those tender, tickling voices that initially feel like feathers brushing our bruises would eventually weave a suffocating pile of nets but are barely enough to extricate a person already caught in the swamp. When the tasteless, lukewarm chicken broth numbs our hearts, Look at Me spilled in a spoonful of black pepper mixed with cayenne chili.

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.
