Monmouth County Clerk Hanlon Invites High School Students to Enter Archives & History Day Photography Contest

(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon is inviting all Monmouth County high school students to enter the County Clerk's Annual Archives & History Day Photography Contest. The contest theme, "Monmouth County Life Through a Lens," coincides with the featured exhibit chosen for this year's event, a photography collection of the George Evans Studio, a former Freehold-based photography studio whose collection was made available to the Monmouth County Archives.



Steve Forbert to Kick off Split Level Concerts Series in Ocean Grove

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Legendary singer-songwriter Steve Forbert will kick off an exciting new series of concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 8:00pm. Pamela Flores, a favorite of the local Asbury Park music scene, will open the show. The show marks the relaunch of Split Level Concerts, a popular series previously based in Union County that recently relocated to the Jersey Shore. Women of Wisdom to Honor Barbara Ostroth as Woman of the Year

(TEANECK, NJ) -- WOW, formerly Wise Older Women and now Women of Wisdom, a group of "producers" with the Teaneck International Film Festival, has announced the recipient of its annual Woman of the Year Award. Barbara Ostroth, one of Teaneck's most enthusiastic and active residents for the past 40 years, will be honored at the closing "live" film at the 19th festival, Sunday night, November 10, at Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Rd., Teaneck.



NJPAC Breaks Ground on $336 Million Campus Redevelopment

(NEWARK, NJ) -- On September 18, 2024, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) broke ground on the $336 million redevelopment of its 12-acre campus, a transformative project that will bring to downtown Newark hundreds of new residences, along with shops, restaurants, new outdoor gathering spaces and a unique education and community center with professional rehearsal spaces.

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.
