State Theatre New Jersey presents Classical Season Celebration featuring Enriqueta Somarriba on October 17th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey celebrates the power of classical performance with the annual Classical Season Celebration on Thursday, October 17, 2024. This year's event will take place in STNJ's intimate Studio space and, as a first for State Theatre, will be a performance entirely by candlelight. Acclaimed pianist Enriqueta Somarriba will perform a 45-minute program of classical favorites woven together with beloved pieces by Spanish composers.

"A little bit of all of it; the perpetual state of making music," laughed guitarist Carolyn Wonderland as she discussed her songwriting, her fascination with blues music from a young age, bail money and much more before her upcoming appearance with Shelley King and Cindy Cashdollar on October 6 at The Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton, NJ. "On this trip, I'm teaching at the Masters of the Telecaster camp upstate. So, since I'm there, me, Shelley King and Cindy Cashdollar decided; why not do a couple of shows? So, it's just the three of us, we're gonna have ourselves a good time; you'll hear some of my songs, some of Shelley's songs, she's got a new record too and of course Cindy; my God, every day is better with Cindy."

George Street Playhouse opens their 50th season with the play What the Constitution Means to Me. Written by Heidi Schreck, this play looks at the U.S. Constitution, Amendments, and Supreme Court decisions in an informative, interesting, and at times fun manner.

An Interview with Tony Stives about "The Corner of 62 and 3rd"

Tony Stives is a musician/songwriter from eastern PA. You may remember him as the guitarist for The Red House in the 1980s or the band Brother Eye, which he's been in since 1998. On October 2, 2024, he released his third solo record, The Corner of 62 and 3rd. New Jersey Stage reached out to him to learn more about his latest release.

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents "West Side Story"

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents West Side Story, the final production of Paper Mill's 2025-2026 season, from May 28 through June 28, 2026. An enduring masterpiece based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, West Side Story reimagines Romeo and Juliet in 1950s New York, where young lovers Tony and Maria dare to dream of a future together as rival gangs the Jets and the Sharks clash for control of the streets.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.
