New Jersey Symphony returns with its holiday tradition: Handel's Messiah in Princeton and Newark

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Symphony will present three performances of George Frideric Handel's Messiah. The Symphony will perform the entire oratorio. The performances will take place Friday, December 20, 2024 at 8:00pm and Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 8:00pm at Richardson Auditorium in Princeton; and Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 7:00pm at Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark.

Surflight Theatre Announces 2025 Season

(BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre has announced their 2025 season - the 76th season of providing Broadway at the Beach. Shows include Top Hat, 9 to 5 The Musical, 42nd Street, West Side Story, Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, Calendar Girls, On Golden Pond, Tru - The Life and Times of Truman Capote, and Elf the Musical. Plus special concerts and beloved children's theatre shows throughout the year.



The Experience Hendrix Tour Comes to Count Basie Center for the Arts on April 1st

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Experience Hendrix Tour, the only official multi-artist celebration of Jimi Hendrix's musical genius that made a triumphant return this year after a half-decade hiatus, has just announced its 2025 edition, including a stop at the Basie Center's Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.








Albert Music Hall continues 50th Anniversary Celebrations with Annual Homeplace Show on Saturday

(WARETOWN, NJ) -- On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Albert Music Hall will continue its year-long celebration of its 50th Anniversary with its annual Homeplace Show. Light of Day Winterfest to Celebrate 25th Anniversary in January

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) --– The Light of Day Foundation has announced WinterFest 2025, the annual music festival taking place throughout January in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Montclair and New York City. "Bob's Birthday Bash" will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Count Basie Center's Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre with a lineup including John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem), Brian Baker (Bad Religion), Pete Steinkopf (The Bouncing Souls), Dramarama, Willie Nile, Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers plus very special guests to be announced soon.

(NUTLEY, NJ) -- CherryBlossomPlayers:LLC presents a double feature of plays from November 14-16, 2024 with performances of The Frogs and Riders to the Sea. Shows take place at Philhower Chapel at Vincent United Methodist Church (100 Vincent Place) in Nutley New Jersey.



T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center to Celebrate Native American Heritage Day

(RED BANK, NJ) -- On Friday, November 29, 2024, the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center will honor Native American Heritage Day with a special event spotlighting the intertwined histories of Monmouth County's Native American and African American populations. The program will feature the premiere of the short film "Entwined for Survival: Monmouth County's Native American People & the Black En- slaved Population," followed by a historical presentation from Claire Garland, Executive Director of the Sandhill Historical Society.

"Slanted Floors" returns to its Greenpoint Apartment

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Following critical acclaim and sold-out performances, Slanted Floors — hailed by the Daily Beast as "one of New York's most unique and exclusive pieces of theatre" — returns for a strictly limited five-week engagement in its original Greenpoint apartment setting. Performances will run May 26 through June 26, 2026, with 150 seats available.



Arden

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents "West Side Story"

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents West Side Story, the final production of Paper Mill's 2025-2026 season, from May 28 through June 28, 2026. An enduring masterpiece based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, West Side Story reimagines Romeo and Juliet in 1950s New York, where young lovers Tony and Maria dare to dream of a future together as rival gangs the Jets and the Sharks clash for control of the streets.



MPAC

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Cape May Stage presents "What the Constitution Means to Me"

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Cape May Stage presents What the Constitution Means to Me by Heidi Schreck from June 3-28, 2026. Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning constitutional debate competitions across the country. In this electrifying and deeply personal play, she revisits that teenage self to explore how the U.S. Constitution has shaped her life — and how it continues to shape all of ours.
