Skyline Arts presents Bye Bye Birdie: Youth Edition this weekend

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Skyline Arts presents Bye Bye Birdie: Youth Edition at Art House Productions with four performances from December 7-8, 2024. This is a fun-loving musical filled with rock & roll, humor, and vibrant songs.



Dr. J.A. Kawarsky releases "Red Square" performed by the London Symphony Orchestra

The concept of color has influenced several of popular music's most memorable melodies. Enter composer Dr. J.A. Kawarsky, who throws his hat in the ring with Red Square, a jubilant union of original musical ideas with hints of popular music references sprinkled throughout, and no shortage of twists and turns. Kawarsky challenges listeners to identify which compositional quotes may have derived their placements from the color red with this short and snappy symphonic work, performed in this Navona Records release by the acclaimed London Symphony Orchestra.

"How Much Is Enough?" People seem to be taking to it," laughed Iain Matthews as he openly talked about his new release, his musical wanderlust, writer's block and more.   You finish a record and you're so saturated with it; you know if it's good but you just don't know how people are going to relate to it; you only know what you've created as an artist, you don't know whether you've made something that will draw people in but now that Wendy (Brynford-Jones) is doing her thing with all of the press and sending the record out to people, I'm getting these amazing responses back. So, I'm kind of thinking; maybe it's good (laughs)."



Elvis Costello and Steve Nieve to Play Shows in Red Bank and Montclair

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Fans of Elvis Costello have two chances to see the artist when his tour with Steve Nieve comes to New Jersey in February 2025.  They will be at the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Friday, February 21st and at The Wellmont Theater on Monday, February 24th.

Performances will run May 26 through June 26, 2026, with 150 seats available.

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents "West Side Story"

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents West Side Story, the final production of Paper Mill's 2025-2026 season, from May 28 through June 28, 2026. An enduring masterpiece based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, West Side Story reimagines Romeo and Juliet in 1950s New York, where young lovers Tony and Maria dare to dream of a future together as rival gangs the Jets and the Sharks clash for control of the streets.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August.
