Atlantic City Launches Its Most Festive Season Yet With the CRDA’s 3rd Annual Tinseltown Holiday Experience

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Get ready for a festive season ahead during the coolest time of the year to visit, stay, and play in Atlantic City! Now in its third year and presented by the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), the Tinseltown Holiday Experience is lighting up Atlantic City's casinos, iconic attractions, and neighborhoods with a range of holiday events, including festive events, pop-up experiences, live shows, and even themed accommodations.

The Growing Stage Kicks Off The Holidays With "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey is thrilled to bring back the holiday classic, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer with performances weekends from December 6-22, 2024. Based on the animated television special "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (adapted from a story by Robert L. May and the song by Johnny Marks) and the stage production directed and conceived by Jeff Frank and First Stage with scenic/puppet by Brandon Kirkham. It has a Script Adaptation by Robert Penola and Music and Lyrics by Johnny Marks.

With his previous feature, 2019's La Llorona, Guatemalan writer/director Jayro Bustamente employed the titular Latin-American folk legend to examine a dark chapter in his country's history - the "Silent Holocaust", a decades long genocide of the nation's Mayan people. With Rita he similarly employs dark fantasy elements to highlight a shameful event in Guatemala's more recent past.

Lewis Center for the Arts' Princeton Atelier presents an early developmental workshop of "Custom of the Coast"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Princeton Atelier will present an early developmental workshop of a section of Custom of the Coast, a new small-scale opera written by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon and award-winning experimental music/contemporary opera composer Kamala Sankaram. The event begins at 4:30pm on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Berlind Rehearsal Room at McCarter Theatre Center, 91 University Place. The program will also include an excerpt of a small-scale opera by Princeton Ph.D. candidate Hope Littwin. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.



Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble presents "The Nutcracker"

(SUFFERN, NY) -- Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble (RYDE) presents the 45th season of its beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, from December 13-15, 2024, with seven spectacular performances at Rockland Community College Cultural Arts Theater. Follow the enchanting story of Clara and her Nutcracker prince as they embark on a magical journey filled with adventure, whimsical characters, and the captivating music of Tchaikovsky.
