(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Award-winning Florida bluesman Selwyn Birchwood will perform live at the Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Birchwood's 2023 album, Exorcist, is his fourth Alligator Records release. The young guitarist, lap steel player, songwriter and vocalist sets a course for the future of the blues with his visionary, original music. He calls it "Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues," an intoxicating mix of deep blues, blistering, psychedelic-tinged rock, booty-shaking funk and sweet Southern soul, played and sung with fire-and-brimstone fervor.

Dawn paints expressively to create complex and evocative works that convey explosive or meditative moments. This exhibit offers an in-depth look at her large and small-scale works. It also marks the beginning of her year as a 2025 Artist in Residence, a title she previously held in 2022.
(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- bergenPAC's Performing Arts School held its inaugural event of the School Time Series for the 2024-2025 season on February 11th. This special event took place at bergenPAC and welcomed nearly 1,000 students to celebrate Black History Month while acknowledging the significant cultural influence of Hip-Hop through a unique performance. The program was developed in partnership with teaching artist and performer D-Cross, along with renowned Hip-Hop DJs known as The Awesome Two.

Topdog/Underdog by Pulitzer prize-winning Black playwright Suzan-Lori Parks is receiving its Trenton, New Jersey premiere at Passage Theatre Company, as part of its landmark 40th anniversary season. The play opens February 21, 2025, and runs until March 9, 2025, at the Mill Hill Playhouse. A darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity, Topdog/Underdog tells the story of Lincoln and Booth, two brothers whose names were given to them as a joke by their father, foreshadowing a lifetime of sibling rivalry and resentment.
Artrageous is making its way to the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) in Rahway on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 2 PM! This is one of the most engaging, interactive spectacles that I have yet to come across. Their troupe's bio promises a one-of-a-kind experience.
