1888 Studios and Paramount Announce Landmark 10-Year Lease Agreement to Unlock Access to Newly Enhanced Film and Television Tax Incentives

(BAYONNE, NJ) -- 1888 Studios, a state-of-the-art, 1.6 million square foot film and television production campus in Bayonne to be built for movie makers by movie makers, recently announced that Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, ("Paramount") (NASDAQ: PSKY), a leading, next generation global media and entertainment company, has signed a landmark minimum 10-year lease agreement. Paramount has committed to occupy more than 285,000 square feet of the facility, establishing a major production hub in New Jersey. Paramount's commitment further cements the state as a premier destination for film and television production, backed by a leading tax incentive program.



Teaneck International Film Festival Marks 20th Anniversary with Free Filmmaker Boot Camp Led by TV Executive Ashley McFarlin

(TEANECK, NJ) -- As part of its milestone 20th anniversary celebration, the Teaneck International Film Festival (TIFF) presents a Free Filmmaker Boot Camp with award-winning television executive and producer Ashley McFarlin. Presented in partnership with Bird's Eye Entertainment, Inc. and Fairleigh Dickinson University, this one-night workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at the Fairleigh Dickinson University Library Auditorium on the Teaneck campus.



Teen Arts NJ Launches New Arts Initiative: Creative Change Makers

(MATAWAN, NJ) -- Teen Arts New Jersey, the state's leading teen arts organization, announced a new program utilizing art as a vehicle to promote activism leading to positive community change. Creative Change Makers is an annual open call for New Jersey-based student artists (Grades 9-12) in visual, literary, and performing arts. Carolyn Dorfman Dance Returns to the Morris Museum in December with a Performance and Education Programs

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Carolyn Dorfman Dance returns to be in residence at the Morris Museum from December 2-8, 2025 with a public performance at the Bickford Theatre on Sunday, December 7 at 3:00pm in Dances of Hope, a celebration of community that features a sneak preview of the newest addition to the Legacy Project, The Hero Within: Max Heller, Mary Mills and Miracles. This work-in-process explores themes of joy, pain, and resilience, connecting the past to the present, and inspiring hope for a better future.



Middlesex College presents "Native Gardens"

(EDISON, NJ) -- Middlesex College's Visual, Performing, and Media Arts Department presents Native Gardens across two weekends (November 6-8 and November 13-15, 2025) at the Studio Theater in Edison. The 90-minute play, written by Karen Zacarías and directed by Devin Massih, is a sharp, funny, and timely comedy about fences, neighbors, and the messy beauty of finding common ground.

Director Edward Berger follows up his Vatican drama Conclave with another movie set within a small city with a distinctive personality. This time it's the Asian gambling mecca of Macau, a cross between the tacky glitz of Las Vegas and the exclusivity of Monte Carlo. It's there we find Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell), a British aristocrat whose opulent hotel room suggests he hit it big at one point on his trip, but he's now fallen heavily into debt.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
