New Hope Arts Receives $250,000 Matching Gift Challenge Donation

(NEW HOPE, PA) -- The New Hope Arts Center has announced a private $250,000 matching gift challenge at their 20th Anniversary Gala, granted in response to its recent announcement of the Elevate the Arts Capital Campaign earlier in May, making this contribution their largest private monetary donation to the non-profit arts center since its opening in 2002.



Princeton Makes hosts "Knit in Public" at the Princeton Shopping Center

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes will host a Knit in Public Day at the Princeton Shopping Center on Saturday, June 11 from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  This is part of the world’s largest knitting celebration, with similar events happening around the globe that day.  The event will take place in the center of the Princeton Shopping Center courtyard, and in the event of rain will take place inside the Princeton Makes store.



Bedminister resident Dolores Noboa named MPAC’s Volunteer of the Month of June

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Bedminster resident Dolores Noboa has been named MPAC’s Volunteer of the Month of June. This recognition program is designed to shine a light on the many individuals who contribute their time and energy toward making MPAC and the MPAC customer experience a success. Dolores has been a volunteer at MPAC since November 2021, mostly serving on the front line scanning tickets.



Jersey City Theater Center Honors Ukrainians with Premiere of VOICES International Theatre Festival

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) kicks off its summer season in June with its 2022 VOICES International Theatre Festival, which is dedicated to Ukrainians who are literally fighting for their lives and independence on a daily basis. Kids and parents alike will delight in the musical experience of Peppa Pig’s Adventure, featuring lovable characters from the hit animated TV show, on Saturday, October 15; platinum-selling American R&B, pop, and gospel singer Ruben Studdard, who rose to fame as winner of the second season of “American Idol,” pays tribute to the legendary Luther Vandross in a stunning new show on Thursday, October 27; and the rock duo Air Supply will play their greatest hits on Sunday, November 13.

Haunting Eureka plays at the 2022 New Jersey International Film Festival on Sunday, June 12!

Eureka is a haunting short that chronicles the life and abuse of a Chinese prostitute in 1885 Eureka, California.  Set on the eve of the town’s anti-Chinese riot, the film showcases the hardships of indentured prostitute Longlong as she struggles for freedom while dependent on her brothel madam (Mama).  Eureka will be available for streaming worldwide on Sunday, June 12 through the 2022 New Jersey International Film Festival.



Inside MPAC's 2022-2023 Season

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Renee Elise Goldsberry, winner of the Tony Award for the role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton, opens MPAC’s 28th season on Friday, September 30. MPAC’s lineup features over 60 events, with many more to be added throughout the season. The 2022-2023 season continues MPAC’s return to a full schedule after two years of rebuilding from COVID rescheduling, postponements and cancellations. Tickets for shows are now on sale.



Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press present Second Sunday Poetry Reading on June 12th

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, June 12 at 4:00pm.  The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center and feature Vasiliki Katsarou and BJ WJard. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.  Poems reflecting Fathers’ Day are encouraged.

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.
