(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Students from all over Bergen County performed in Fiddler On The Roof, the winter musical at Bergen County Academies. The BCA theatre department presented this beloved music from March 2-4 and photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- The Mural at Cardinal will be a 5,000-square-foot building wrap, reflecting the progression of the seasons throughout the year with each face of the building dedicated to a season. It will be the first touchpoint for diners, expressing the concept of nature overtaking the industrial world and the restaurant's seasonal farm-to-table menu. The Atlantic City Arts Foundation seeks artists near and far to apply to create this massive mural.
(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) --The MAC PLAYERS, Middletown Arts Center’s community theater group, is kicking off its 2023 season with Seussical, a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Fun for the whole family, Seussical creates the witty, wild and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as it has never been seen before. When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz and a gaggle of characters to bring harmony back to their world. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, March 12 at 4:00pm. The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center. The February reading will feature Liz Chang and Bernadette McBride. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.

All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. Even those who don't know very much about visual art are familiar with the Cubist approach to the human body. Pablo Picasso liked to present a person from many angles at once, and compress three-dimensional form into a two-dimensional frame. No matter what step she's on, that nude descending a staircase comes at us all at once. We know we're looking at an individual person, even if it's never clear which of those fields of color represent the present moment and which are afterimages, projections, and vapor trails. Representing human beings like this guarantees that there’ll be distortions: facial features in strange places, unexpected angles, duplicates and odd subtractions, clashes between heads, necks, and torsos, the shuffling of expressions, and the surprise and disquiet that comes when an obviously human figure doesn't look much like a human at all.
