(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- The Smashing Pumpkins, have announced their 26-date North American The World Is A Vampire Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour is set to start on Friday, July 28 at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Locally, the tour comes to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Thursday, August 24. They will be supported in Holmdel by Interpol and Rival Sons.
(FORT LEE, NJ) -- Park Players Productions, Inc. will present Pippin across two weekends (April 21-23 and April 28-30). Pippin is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse, who directed the original Broadway production, also contributed to the libretto. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by the Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.

(MAHWAH, NJ) -- An unusual art exhibition exploring notions of alchemy and numinosity is on view in the Kresge and Pascal Galleries of the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts at Ramapo College. From Alchemy to Numinosity features contemporary artists and collection loans, and continues on view through April 4. Numerous media are represented, which range from sculpture to Haitian Vodou flags to paintings. There will be a reception with artists’ talks on Monday, April 3 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
