Friends' Two-Day Book Sale Coming to Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch

(SURF CITY, NJ) -- The books, DVDs and compact discs that you no longer need might be just want your neighbor wants – and vice versa. Friends of the Island Library will accept donations Thursday, March 23 for their Two-Day Book Sale, 9:00am through 4:00pm Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25, at the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch.

(NEW HOPE, PA) -- The New Hope Arts Center: New Hope Arts is expanding the Outdoor Sculpture Project celebrating 20 years of their commitment to public art. For the 20th anniversary the renamed Public Sculpture Program, is on the move. The latest installation, Harry Gordon’s Axis Mundi, "landed" on Sunday, March 5, hosted by First National Bank & Trust Co. of Newtown’s Solebury branch at 408 Lower York Rd., New Hope.



Brookdale Alumna Earns Publication In National Literary Journal

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Brookdale Community College graduate Zafira Demiri is among the twenty-four members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) nationwide, whose writing will be published in the 28th edition of Nota Bene, PTK's literary journal. With over 800 entries submitted for the competition, "Nota Bene," Latin for "take notice," showcases the exemplary writing of community college students.



Ferocious Designs Releases Debut Full-Length Album

Ferocious Designs, the music project of central New Jersey-based songwriter Brian Kelley, has released its first full-length album, Looking for the Light, now available for streaming and download at FerociousDesigns.com. A music video for the title track has also been released.

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents a Spring Season of Jazz with free monthly jazz jams at Clement's Place and two special concert events inside the Victoria Theater. PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Morven Museum & Garden's popular speaker series Grand Homes & Gardens returns for 2026. Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Freedom at Home: Telling the Full Story of America's Founding Homes and Gardens examines four estates belonging to five signers of the Declaration: William Paca, Richard Henry Lee, Francis Lightfoot Lee, Thomas Jefferson, and Arthur Middleton.

Faith and Frosting Collide in "The Cake" at Bergen County Players

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Enjoy a touching and topical dramedy as love clashes with conscience in Bergen County Players' (BCP) production of The Cake. The play, written by Bekah Brunstetter, producer/writer for the hit TV series This Is Us, is directed by Carol Fisher of Teaneck. It opens March 14 and runs through April 11, 2026 at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell.
