UCC's "Laugh For Charity" Event Brings Big Laughs, Entertainment to Greater Newark For Good Cause

(NEWARK, NJ) -- An evening full of laughter and entertainment with some of comedy's most prominent performers will be in store this weekend for United Community Corporation's (UCC) annual "Laugh For Charity" Casino event in Newark. The event, which will take place Saturday, April 22, at the Robert Treat Hotel in downtown Newark, will be held in the spirit of giving back as UCC has been dedicated to serving the Greater Newark community for 56 years. The program begins at 7:00pm and features a comedy show, casino-themed games, an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, music, and much more.

Like Zevon, her witty wordplay and skewering sarcasm are hysterical.



RVCC Student Jazz Ensemble to Perform May Concert

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's (RVCC) Student Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 7:30pm. The event, which is open to the public, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College's Branchburg campus. The ensemble will perform pieces by a variety of jazz artists including Charlie Parker and Horace Silver, as well as familiar selections from the Great American Songbook. All of these performances will feature spontaneous improvisations by student musicians.
