(HAMILTON, NJ) -- Night Forms, a site-specific multi-sensory experience, will be on view at Grounds For Sculpture (GFS) from November 24, 2023 through April 7, 2024. This third and final installment of GFS's partnership with Klip Collective brings back more than a dozen installations from the second season's Infinite Wave along with a reprise of Froghead Rainbow, one of the most popular works from Klip's inaugural project at GFS, dreamloop. The exhibition is designed to engage with Grounds For Sculpture's art and horticulture collections and invites visitors to explore the grounds after dark.

(CRANFORD, NJ) -- Bernie Wagenblast talks with three people behind the production of Head Over Heels at CDC Theatre on an episode of the Cranford Radio podcast. His guests include Sean Lough (director), Jannette Fisher (Mopsa), Sean Lynch-Littlejohn (Basilius) and Hannah Elarmo (music director). Head Over Heels is a 16th century story filled with music from the 1980s female rock band, The Go-Go's. The musical runs weekends starting October 13 and running through the 28th.
(TRENTON, NJ) -- On Sunday, October 22, 2023, the Trenton Film Society will host a special single-day screening of the documentary The League, directed by prize-winning filmmaker Sam Pollard (MLK/FBI). Using previously unearthed archival footage and never-before-seen interviews with legendary players like Satchel Paige and Buck O'Neil, as well as celebrated Hall of Famers Willie Mays and Hank Aaron who started out in the Negro Leagues, the film tells a story of African Americans in baseball before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, and the unforeseen consequences of integration. Also featured in the documentary is Effa Manley, the activist owner of the Newark Eagles.

A beloved musical since its premiere in 1967, Clark Gesner brings Charles M. Schulz's "PEANUTS" characters to the stage. The musical ventures through the highs and lows of young life, from baseball and homework to young love and friendship. With an empathetic and whimsical eye, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown reminds us of the importance of connection and joy.
(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

Frank Hanavan's Hoboken is wet. In his streetscapes, surfaces glisten. The sky is rarely glowering, but it does seem full; ready to have something to say, or wrapping up something that it is busy saying. The canopy of foliage that hangs over the streetcorners feels saturated with moisture. Even the shadows on the sidewalk are puddle blue. Businesses have their umbrellas open. A few people do, too.
