Makin Waves Album of the Month: "I Won't Cry Alone" by Roadside Graves

"I Won't Cry Alone" is the seventh full-length release from Metuchen-based Roadside Graves for the New Brunswick-originated indie Don Giovanni Records, also the home Jersey acts Screaming Females and Teenage Halloween. In 2011, Roadside Graves released "We Can Take Care of Ourselves," based on S.E. Hinton's classic novel "The Outsiders." During the heart of the pandemic, the band collaborated remotely and again returned to Hinton's writing for inspiration, this time drawing from her more painful and surreal book "Rumblefish."



Lighthouse International Film Society to screen "Another Body"

(LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ) -- Seldom does a documentary film pack the punch we've come to expect from a dramatic thriller, but Another Body brilliantly blurs those lines as it follows a real-life college student whose identity has been stolen for the creation of deepfake pornography. Lighthouse International Film Society presents a screening of Another Body on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. The screening begins at 7:30pm.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
