NJPAC Announces Three Comedy Shows, First In-Person Events In Over A Year

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has announced their first Live, In-Person, Socially Distanced performances that will take place this summer after a year of being closed due to Covid 19. Experience NJPAC in an entirely new way as the Arts Center’s new entry procedures and upgraded safety equipment that includes premium HVAC, air purification and electrostatic cleaning will keep all patrons safe. 


Alfie Brown Releases "Imagination" Comedy Special

(NEW YORK, NY) -- The critical darling of cutting-edge stand-up, Alfie Brown is one of the UK's foremost comedians. In this highly spirited, scrutinizing, and colorful comedy special, Alfie Brown refuses to beat around any bushes.  Imagination will be released on April 13 via 800 Pound Gorilla Pictures. 



Fern Brady Releases "Power & Chaos"

(NEW YORK, NY) --  Fern Brady is totally unique and completely fearless. Her exceptional writing and electric stagecraft have made her one of the UK's hottest comedy stars. Brady will release her new provocative & authoritative special, Power & Chaos on April 20 via 800 Pound Gorilla Pictures. 



"The History of Stand-Up: From Mark Twain to Dave Chappelle"

After more than three decades in the comedy industry, Wayne Federman has emerged as one of stand-up comedy's leading cultural historians. He hosts the acclaimed History of Standup podcast, teaches stand-up history and performance at the University of Southern California, and is currently co-producing HBO's upcoming George Carlin documentary with Judd Apatow. Wayne's new book The History of Stand-Up: From Mark Twain to Dave Chappelle was released on March 15.



Spring Improv Class Is Online for Adults and Teens at Dreamcatcher

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, is offering a virtual improv class this spring for adults and teens aged 18 and up. The class will be held Monday  evenings from 7:30pm-9:30pm for eight weeks starting April 5 and ending May 24. The cost is $280.



West Windsor Arts Council Unites Laughter with Art at March 13th Gala

(PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts Council is serious about its mission to transform lives through the arts, which is exactly why it is hosting a virtual comedy show on Saturday, March 13th as its Annual Gala and Art Auction for 2021. The nonprofit chose humor as the theme for the event because in times like these, we could all use a good laugh.  The event runs from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.



NJPAC Presents Eddie Izzard in a Global Online Conversation with Elliot Forrest

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Eddie Izzard in a Global Online Conversation with Elliot Forrest on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 9:00pm. Eddie, who recently changed her pronouns, talks with Peabody Award-winning host Elliott Forrest about her life, work and dreams. Eddie will also answer questions from you, the audience.



Mike Marino To Perform In Red Bank On March 20th

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts presents comedian Mike Marino on Saturday, March 20 at 7:00pm.  Marino – affectionately known to millions of his fans worldwide as New Jersey’s Bad Boy – is one of the most loved comedians of our time. The performance takes place at the Pop-Up Stage at the Hackensack Meridan Health Theatre with limited seating (150).  Tickets are $45.



The Vogel Presents Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson On January 30

Don Jamieson(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Vogel presents comedian Jim Florentine with opening act Don Jamieson on Saturday, January 30th at 7:00pm. The Vogel, a two-level, balconied performance space, is part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.  The venue has strict safety and social distancing measures in place due to covid-19.Tickets are $29.



Winter Improv Class Is Online for Adults and Teens at Dreamcatcher Rep
