MPAC Presents Manhattan Comedy Night on November 27

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents Manhattan Comedy Night on Friday, November 27 with shows at 6:00pm and 8:30pm. The lineup includes  Buddy Fitzpatrick, Richie Burns and Billy Garan.  Due to the pandemic, MPAC is still allowed to operate with a capacity for 150 people. Tickets are $30.   

Dreamcatcher Premieres The Flip Side: Halloween Improv

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre will premiere its virtual improv show, The Flip Side: Halloween, on Facebook on Thursday, October 29 at 7:00pm. The 30-minute performance is free, and after its debut it will be available on www.dreamcatcherrep.org along with all previous virtual Flip Side shows.

Lewis Black's "Thanks For Risking Your Life" To Be Released October 6

TLB Records has announced the release of its inaugural comedy special with the incomparable Lewis Black's Thanks For Risking Your Life, out October 6 via Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play, Xbox, and Vudu. The audio will also release via all digital platforms.

Kevin Hart To Perform September 6-8 At Concerts In The Garden at Blu Grotto

(OCEANPORT, NJ) -- Kevin Hart will perform seven stand-up comedy shows from September 6-8 as part of Concerts In The Garden at Blu Grotto in Monmouth Park. Concerts In The Garden at the Blu Grotto are produced by The Basie Presents and UMT Presents. The shows, originally scheduled for September 3-4, now include three additional performances due to demand for tickets.

Art House Productions Presents The Roast Of Harry Potter On August 15

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents The Roast of Harry Potter on Saturday, August 15 at 7:30 PM EST on Zoom as part of the Jersey City Comedy Festival.  Tickets are $10.

MPAC Presents A Drive-In Version Of The Manhattan Comedy Night on August 20

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Honk if you need a laugh! Mayo Performing Arts Center, in partnership with the Morris County Park Commission, will present A Drive In version of its popular Manhattan Comedy Night series at Fosterfields Historical Living Farm on Thursday, August 20 at 6:30pm. Scheduled to perform are Tom Cotter, Johnny Lambert and Kerri Louise.

NJPAC Presents Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood In An Interactive Virtual Performance

Armed with nothing but their sharp wit, comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood around proud to present an all-new LIVE improv show via Zoom, Stream of Consciousness, where you are in the driver’s seat.

Virtual Jersey City Comedy Festival To Be Presented August 12-15

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents the Virtual Jersey City Comedy Festival (JCCF) which will take place next month, August 12th-15th. JCCF will be held entirely on Zoom with over 65 performers from across the country. Celebrating three years of laughs (formerly known as the 6th Borough Comedy Festival), performers will be featured in nine different shows including professional stand up, improv comedy, and sketch comedy.

What happens when a pair of professional stand-up comedians become new parents? Jokes in their set are bound to be influenced by parenting and may become harder hitting between the spouses.  When Rutgers alum Ben Rosenfeld and his wife Michelle Slonim Rosenfeld found themselves in that situation, the jokes led to an illustrated guide to pregnancy and parenting that is very different from your usual baby books. Their book, New Parent Smell, gives both comedians the spotlight as it bounces back and forth with jokes by each.  

Comedian Sarah Tollemache To Release "Voluptuous Boy" on TLB Records

(NEW YORK, NY) --  TLB Records has announced the July 21 release of Voluptuous Boy from comedian Sarah Tollemache, the quintessential, modern New York woman- filled with angst and flippantly living in fear.
