(WASHINGTON, NJ) -- Washington Borough will show off its green on June 15, and it's not about being Irish.

In its annual celebration of being designated as one of the greenest communities in New Jersey, Washington Borough will kick off to its award-winning weekly farmers market by combining it once again with the Sustainably Green Music & Arts Fest in Downtown Washington on Saturday, June 15. The event, a partnership of the Washington Business Improvement District and the Washington Borough Green Team, includes a host of vendors, musical acts, and family friendly activities. The festival action takes place throughout the Downtown (Route 57) and in Veterans Park from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

The Sustainably Green Music & Arts Fest features terrific eco-friendly art and displays from artisans and organizations in the region, kids activities with Dove Environmental, and plenty of music. The musical line up this year starts with local favorites, Avoiding Foreclosure, and continues with the rhythmic sounds and drumming of Gypsy Funk Squad and will be capped by reggae band, Verdict.

For the third year in a row, the day will also include a celebration of Juneteenth. Activities and displays are planned at Bricks Bots and Beakers, which is located across from Veterans Park.

Over 30 vendors are signed up to participate in the festival, with more expected. The Green Fest typically includes an array of environmentally friendly vendors, activities, and other great stuff.  Among the specialty vendors and exhibitors this year are Brogsdale Candles, Cosmic Debris, Trudes Design, Scentsy wickless candles and fragrances, Luli Bodi skin care products, Planet B, Serendipity, Songbird Jewelers, Slate Candle Company, Zella Bella Gaggle of Giggles, MM Handyman Solutions, Sweet Tucker's Bake Shop, Dove Environmental, Tater Bear Treats, and Wick'ed By Anais. The NJ Clean Energy Program will have a booth with information. We Squeeze to Please will be on hand as a food vendor.
