9) Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association presents "Symphonic Decibels: Great Works for Orchestra and Organ" - (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA) will present the finale to its popular “Summer Stars” classical series on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove NJ. “Symphonic Decibels: Great Works for Orchestra and Organ” will feature works by Mendelssohn, Boellmann and Saint-Saens performed by the Mid Atlantic Orchestra, under the direction of Jason Tramm and the Great Auditorium Pipe Organ, played by Gordon Turk. The concert begins at 7:30pm.
10) Vivid Stage announces 2023-24 Season - (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage has announced their 2023-24 season. The company will present three Mainstage productions, three Flip Side Improv Shows, a series of Meet The Artist: New Play Readings in May, and a month of the Summer Solos Reading Series in July. The season kicks off in October with a production of Grief at High Tide by Richard Willett.

12) Makin Waves with Nat Adderley Jr.: 'The Path Chose Me' - West Orange-based pianist-arranger-composer-producer Nat Adderley Jr. hails from an amazing legacy of music. His father is trumpeter Nat Adderley, brother and longtime bandmate to legendary jazz saxophonist Cannonball Adderley. Despite composing two of his uncle’s recordings and performing on one of them, the 1970 title track, “The Price You Got to Pay to Be Free,’ Nat went on a different path that at first was completely non-musical. After graduating from Yale University with a degree in African American Studies, Nat worked for a while in Houston, but then the path of music chose him when he found he could make more money playing a two-hour daily piano gig than a desk job.
13) The Newton Theatre presents The Rod Experience featuring Carmine Appice and Rick St. James -(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents The Rod Experience featuring Carmine Appice and Rick St. James on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 8:00pm. 14) RVCC Planetarium to Offer Star Shows for All Ages, Laser Concerts Featuring Music by Taylor Swift, Led Zeppelin - (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium in Branchburg has a variety of offerings in August 2023, including special programs for children, star shows focused on exploring the night sky and the universe, and laser concerts featuring music by such artists as Taylor Swift and Led Zeppelin.
15) Newark Symphony Hall Names New CEO and Celebrates Phase One Completion of $75M Restoration - (NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Symphony Hall (NSH), New Jersey’s largest Black-led arts and entertainment venue, has completed the first phase of its $75 million capital improvement program. The multi-year project is spearheaded by Talia L. Young, the venue’s newly appointed CEO who recently secured an additional $4 million for NSH in Governor Murphy’s 2024 state budget, bringing the total funding from New Jersey to $15 million over the past three years. Newark Symphony Hall’s renovations are set to be completed by 2025, coinciding with its 100th anniversary.
