The Showroom to Spotlight Films by A24

originally published: 01/09/2023

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- A24 has created and distributed some of the most original and visionary independent films of the past ten years. In celebration of their commitment to innovation, The ShowRoom in Asbury Park will present 5 screenings of A24's new film, When You Finish Saving The World from Friday, January 20 to Sunday, January 22. Three of A24’s most popular films of 2022, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Aftersun, and Pearl, will return for limited screenings that weekend as well.

When You Finish Saving The World  was written and directed by actor Jesse Eisenberg. Evelyn (Julianne Moore) has devoted herself to helping people in hard times, but she struggles to connect with her son Ziggy (Finn Wolfhard), an aspiring internet star oblivious to the problems of the world.

As Evelyn attempts to become a parent figure to an unassuming teenager she meets at her shelter, and Ziggy fumbles through his pursuit of a brilliant and politically conscious young woman at his high school, this emotional comedy reveals a funny and sharply perceptive portrait of a mother and son who may seem at odds but who are more alike than either would care to admit. This limited release will run in less than 350 theaters nationwide and won’t be available for streaming until late March.

Everything Everywhere All At Once and Aftersun were two of the ShowRoom’s longest-running features of the past year. Both films have been picking up award nominations and wins, and both have been receiving strong Oscar buzz. The horror film Pearl has quickly become a cult favorite and features an arresting 8 minute monologue by star Mia Goth.

Tickets and showtimes are available now at showroomcinemas.com. The ShowRoom Cinema is located at 707 Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
