The Scottish Rite Auditorium presents Graham Nash with special guest Judy Collins

originally published: 05/09/2024

(COLLINGSWOOD, NJ) -- The Scottish Rite Auditorium presents Graham Nash with special guest Judy Collins in An Evening of Songs and Stories on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Graham Nash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, inducted as a founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

Graham Nash has seen rock history unfold at some of its seminal moments – from the launch of the British Invasion to the birth of the Laurel Canyon movement a year later. An extraordinary Grammy Award® winning renaissance artist – and self-described “simple man” – Nash was inducted twice into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, for his work with CSN and his work as a solo artist.

Towering above virtually everything that Graham Nash has accomplished in his long and multi-faceted career, stands the litany of songs that he has written and introduced to the soundtrack of our lives for nearly six decades and continues on with the release of Now last year.

Nash’s remarkable body of work began with his contributions to the Hollies opus from 1964 to ’68, including “Stop Stop Stop,” and “On A Carousel,” among others.

The classic union of Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young) yielded songs that are lightning rods embedded in our DNA, starting with Nash’s “Marrakesh Express,” “Pre-Road Downs” and “Lady of the Island,” from the first Crosby, Stills & Nash LP and his iconic “Teach Your Children” and “Our House” from CSNY’s Déjà Vu.

Nash’s career as a solo artist took flight in 1971, beginning with two landmark albums, Songs For Beginners and Wild Tales which further showcased the depths of his abilities as a singer and songwriter, yielding such favorites as “Chicago/We Can Change the World” and “Military Madness”.

Graham will be joined on stage by Todd Caldwell (keyboards and vocals), Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitars, and vocals), and Zach Djanikian (guitars, mandolin, drums, and vocals), performing favorites from across his sixty-year career.

Graham’s set will be preceded by special guest and longtime friend, Judy Collins. Collins has inspired audiences for over six decades with sublime vocals, boldly vulnerable songwriting, personal life triumphs, and a firm commitment to social activism. She is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards and her original compositions.

Tickets range from $69-$150 and are available for purchase online starting Friday, May 10 at 10:00am. The Scottish Rite Auditorium is located at 315 White Horse Pike in Collingswood, New Jersey.

The Scottish Rite is one of the largest auditoriums in South Jersey. Voted one of the “150 Best Buildings and Places” by the American Institute of Architects in the 2011 AIA New Jersey Guidebook, the property rests on eight acres of land and comprises two separate buildings. The largest building is a five-story structure that houses the Collingswood Grand Ballroom and the 1,050 seat Scottish Rite Auditorium. The Scottish Rite Auditorium presents over twenty concerts per year by notable performers and bands such as America, Gordon Lightfoot, and Kansas to name a few. Musician David Crosby calls the stage “the coolest place I ever played!”
