(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Princeton Folk Music Society presents Irish music duo Ivan Goff (uileann pipes, Irish flute, and whistles) and Katie Linnane (fiddle) on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Christ Congregation Church,. The couple are stalwarts of the vibrant New York City Irish traditional music scene. Showtime is 8:00pm. The concert is also available via livestream.

Ivan has toured with several Irish traditional bands, including Dervish, Danú, and the Eileen Ivers Band. He also has performed in theatrical productions, including extended engagements with Riverdance (on Broadway and on tour), and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance. Ivan holds a BA in music from Maynooth University, an MA in Computer Composition and Music Technology from Queens University, Belfast, and an MA in Musicology from University College, Dublin.

Katie got her start in the "Irish Riviera" music scene of Pearl River in Rockland County, New York. She studied with Willy Kelly and has been influenced by other great players, including Paddy Canny, Patrick Ourceau, and Mike Rafferty. Katie can be found performing with other New York based groups, such as The Murphy Beds, Lúnasa, and Green Fields of America. She also is an accomplished step dancer and teacher.

The concert takes place Friday, May 17, 2024 at 8:00pm. Tickets at the door: $25 ($20 members, $10 students 12 - 22, $5 children 11 and under). Ample free parking. Christ Congregation Church is located at 50 Walnut Lane in Princeton, New Jersey. There is ample free parking available.

Princeton Folk Music Society is continuing to offer live-stream viewing of performances when possible on their YouTube channel. They have chosen to make the stream available under the honor system of folk music. If you watch the stream live or delayed, PFMS and the artist would greatly appreciate you utilizing the “tip jar” to make a contribution in lieu of in-person concert tickets. They recognize that not everyone can make it to the venue for the show, so they’re delighted to be able to present this as an option to participate in the concert.
