originally published: 11/08/2024

(NEWTON, NJ) -- Big Apple Comedy Club returns to The Newton Theatre on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 8:00pm. This edition features performances by James Camacho, Raanan Hershberg, Marion Grodin, and Rodney Laney.

James Camacho is a NYC based comedian via NJ. James has appeared on Kevin Hart's LOL Network. He has been seen on "FBI" and "Kevin Can Wait" on CBS. He's appeared on commercials for Dunkin Donuts, ESPN, & Vice. He also appeared in the movie, "Before I go" with Willie Garson & Annabelle Sciorra, and "What Happened Last Night" with Amber Rose.

Marion Grodin has made a name for herself as one of the funniest working stand-up comedians today. In New York City, she is a regular at all the top clubs including The Gotham Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, West Side Comedy Club and The Stand. Marion has also been featured in both the Marshall’s Woman’s Comedy Festival and the Toyota Comedy Festival. On television, Marion has been seen on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Metro Channel’s New Joke City with Robert Klien, Inside Edition, The Charles Grodin Show and ABC’s “The View.” Don’t miss the chance to see this very funny woman in action!

Raanan Hershberg is a loud, neurotic Jew from Louisville, KY. He has performed his high-energy, joke-packed comedy on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late, Late Show with James Corden and Comedy Central. His latest special ‘Jokes from the Underground’ was included in the New York Times ‘Best Comedy of 2022’ where critic Jason Zinoman called it the funniest YouTube Special of the year, and said “his punchy and deliriously funny club comedy made me laugh after second and third viewings.’” His first special ‘Downhill Ever Since’ is almost at 200K views on YouTube. Raanan performs all over the world and is a regular at The Comedy Cellar.

Born and raised in Paterson New Jersey, Rodney Laney’s comedy career started capriciously in 1988. While in the Air Force, stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio, he accompanied a fellow airman, an amateur comic, to a comedy club. His friend bombed, but Rod took the stage and received thunderous= applause. It was instant addiction. Rodney has since gone on to kill ‘em in clubs from New York to California. In New York City, Rodney is regular at all the best clubs including Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, and Carolines On Broadway. On television, Rodney has been seen on many shows including most recently HBO’s “Bad Boys of Comedy,” CBS’ “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend and TBS’s “Just For Laughs Chicago.”
