(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents An Evening with Shaun Cassidy on Friday, June 16, 2023.  Shaun is an American writer, producer, actor and singer. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm. 

After originally making  his name as a performer, Shaun Cassidy went on to create, write and produce a number of  critically acclaimed television series including “American Gothic”, “Roar”, “Cold Case”, “Cover Me”, “The Agency”, “Invasion” and “Emerald City”. He most recently spent five years as executive producer and writer for the hit NBC/Netflix series, “New Amsterdam”.

The son of Tony award winning actor Jack Cassidy and Academy Award winner Shirley Jones (and half-brother of the late singer/actor David Cassidy), Shaun Cassidy  grew up in Los  Angeles and New York City. While still in high school, he signed a contract with Warner  Brothers records. This led to three multi-platinum albums and numerous top ten hits including "Da Doo Ron Ron", "That's Rock n' Roll", "Hey Deanie" and "Do You Believe In  Magic?"

Shaun Cassidy received a Grammy nomination for his efforts. Almost concurrently, he starred in the ABC television series “The Hardy Boys Mysteries”.  He would go onto appearing on Broadway in the hit musical “Blood Brothers”.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 14 at 10:00am. A special members-only presale is Thursday, April 13 from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Reserved seating is $49, $59, $69 , $79 and $89. Tickets will be available for purchase online. Additional fees may apply. The Newton Theatre is located at 234 Spring Street in Newton, New Jersey.

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Graham Nash, two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash, will perform at Count Basie Center for the Arts on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Nash will be joined on stage by Todd Caldwell (keyboards and vocals), Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitars and vocals) and Zach Djanikian (guitars, mandolin, drums and vocals), performing favorites from across his sixty-year career. Showtime is 7:30pm.

An Interview with Dan Kurtz of The New Deal

Formed in 1999, Toronto, Canada based trio The New Deal, is a pioneer in jam-based electronic music. The group was founded by remaining members Dan Kurtz (bass) and Jamie Shields (keys), along with Darren Shearer (drums) who left tND in 2011. Since its inception, tND has remained committed to its improvisational roots and has served as a model for other jamtronica bands bridging the gap between multiple music genres as well as the border between Canada and the United States.
