(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Lakehouse Block Party will take place on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from noon to 7:00pm. (*note: the event was initially scheduled for Saturday, but moved due to inclement weather forecasted for that day). The event features an incredible lineup of both emerging and longtime performers in the local music scene and some amazing local vendors and food trucks, including an exclusive Asbury Park Brewery Beer Garden. Proceeds from this event will support the nonprofit Asbury Park Music Foundation.
Artists scheduled to perform include Alexander Simone & Whodat?, deSoL, Des & The Swagmatics, Sonic Blume, Kevian Kraemer, 8dayzstr8, Hooper, Daughter Vision, Quincy Mumford, Chill Smith, Jake Thistle, and more.
Tickets are $15 (plus service fees) and available for purchase online. Children 12 and under can attend for free!
Proceeds from this event will support the nonprofit Asbury Park Music Foundation. Through the Music Saved My Life program, Asbury Park Music Foundation ensures that students from Asbury Park and Red Bank have the opportunity to take music lessons at Lakehouse, join a band, perform at legendary venues and become part of our dynamic community. Asbury Park Music Foundation unites communities through music and opens doors for students with limited resources but unlimited potential.

Lakehouse Music Academy is located at 619 Lake Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey. At Lakehouse, students learn music theory in one-on-one private study and hone their skills for live performances with their band. They also have the opportunity to work on original songwriting, recording, production, and engineering while learning the ins and outs of the industry.
Lakehouse Music Academy (LHMA) is a progressive music school, featuring group rehearsals, individual lessons, and live performances at Asbury Park’s world-famous music venues. Their program is committed to the development of comprehensive musicianship for every student, at every level, at every age.
Their team employs various teaching methods built around each student’s particular musical interests and goals. Students have the opportunity to hone their skills in live performance, private study, original songwriting, recording, engineering, production, theory, and business/marketing. Their holistic approach to music education allows us to introduce the undeniable power of music to young children, to inspire adults to Join the Band and take the stage, and to produce the most prepared teenage musicians for today’s music industry. LHMA alumni are currently pursuing their musical dreams at some of the country’s strongest music programs – including Berklee College of Music, University of the Arts, Rutgers University, and more.
