The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "9 To 5 The Musical"

originally published: 08/25/2024

(PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents 9 To 5 The Musical weekends throughout September 2024. Based on the seminal 1980 hit movie, it features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can't she?

Performances take place September 6 at 8:00pm; September 7 at 8:00pm, September 8 at 2:00pm; September 13 at 8:00pm; September 14 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; September 15 at 2:00pm; September 20 at 8:00pm; September 21 at 8:00pm; September 22 at 2:00pm & 7:00pm; September 27 at 8:00pm; September 28 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; and September 29 at 2:00pm.

Tickets are $40 and available for purchase online. The Broadway Theatre of Pitman is located at 43 S Broadway in Pitman, New Jersey.
