The Artist Collective Troupe presents 3rd Annual "Wish Upon a Song" to Benefit Make-A-Wish New Jersey

originally published: 02/07/2024

(POINT PLEASANT, NJ) -- The Artist Collective Troupe will present its 3rd Annual “Wish Upon a Song,” an animated movie musical revue benefitting Make-A-Wish New Jersey, in Point Pleasant on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9.  Join all your favorite fairytale characters including princes, princesses, heroes, villains, and more for a musical journey that celebrates the power of stories, magic, and belief!

“Wish Upon a Song” is directed by Eric Pertgen, music directed by Chelsea Carlson, and choreographed by Marie Bickerton.  The cast includes talented adults, teens, and children portraying characters inspired by your favorite fairytales, and songs from classic animated movie musicals.

In keeping with ACT’s mission to give back to the community, proceeds from “Wish Upon a Song” will be donated to Make-A-Wish New Jersey.  Make-A-Wish NJ grants the wishes of children living with critical illness here in the Garden State, providing a sense of hope and excitement during a challenging time.  ACT’s past productions of “Wish Upon a Song” have helped fund wishes of two local Ocean County children: a 5-year-old’s wish to visit Disney World in 2022 and a 4-year-old’s wish to have a pool in 2023!

Performances will be held on Friday, March 8 at 7:00pm and Saturday, March 9 at 1:00pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 708 Route 88 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the door for $25.  A character meet-and-greet is included after the performance.

The Artist Collective Troupe is a nonprofit organization created to serve the community through theatrical and music performances, artistic events, education opportunities, workshops, and more.  Founded in 2021, ACT’s mission is to highlight the arts within their community and to give back by hosting fundraisers and supporting other local nonprofits.  Their goal is to provide educational, collaborative, and creative experiences for artists and performers of all ages throughout the Ocean and Monmouth County area.
