
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey and the Stress Factory Comedy Club present Comedy Night Live on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 8:00pm. The lineup includes Joey Vega, Maureen Langan, Alex Quow, and Vinnie Brand.
Joey Vega is a New York City–born stand-up comedian and actor who has been performing for more than four decades. A favorite at comedy clubs, theaters, and corporate events nationwide, he has also toured internationally for more than 20 years as an opening act for music superstar Marc Anthony. Vega has appeared in films such as Rounders and Punchline, and on television in The Sopranos and Law & Order.
Maureen Langan is an internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian, award-winning broadcaster, and TEDx speaker. A semifinalist on Season 18 of America's Got Talent, she earned a standing ovation and four "yeses" from the judges. Known for her sharp, intelligent humor, Langan has performed around the world and shared the stage with legends including Robin Williams, Jay Leno, and Rosie O'Donnell.
Alex Quow is a New York City–based stand-up comedian and voice actor known for his energetic style and relatable storytelling. His work has been featured on HBO, Amazon Prime, and in The New York Times, and he has performed at comedy clubs and theaters nationwide. Quow's comedy draws from personal experiences and everyday life, creating an interactive and high-energy show for audiences.
Vinnie Brand is an American comedian, respected businessman, podcaster, lifestyle coach, and a load-bearing pillar of the community. Most familiar as the owner of the world-famous Stress Factory Comedy Club, you may know Brand from his stints on Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, Sirius XM's Jim & Sam Show, The Bennington Show, Preston & Steve, the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, or from his hilarious and haunting TED Talk on acceleration.
Tickets start at $41 and are available for purchase online or by calling State Theatre Guest Services at 732-246-SHOW (7469). State Theatre Guest Services, located at 15 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick NJ, is open by phone and email only, Tuesday through Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. For in-person purchases, Guest Services is open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00pm to 4:30pm. Additional ticket and transaction fees may apply.
State Theatre New Jersey, a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, celebrated its 100th Anniversary after major renovations in December 2021. Originally built as a silent film and vaudeville palace, State Theatre's historic significance was honored when PBS featured it in its documentary series, Treasures of New Jersey. Having played a significant role in revitalizing New Brunswick—crowned "Jersey's Best Destination of the Year" for 2025 by Jersey's Best magazine—State Theatre resides in the heart of the city's arts district.
Today, State Theatre is the largest performing arts center in Central New Jersey and has welcomed more than six and a half million people through its doors since reopening as a nonprofit performing arts center in 1988. State Theatre New Jersey is a cornerstone of the cultural vitality of Middlesex County and averages a total economic impact on New Brunswick and the surrounding area of more than $18 million a year. The mainstage programs have included high-caliber artists such as Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Kevin Hart, Ringo Starr, Melissa Etheridge, John Leguizamo, Harry Connick, Jr., Peter Frampton, and Leanne Morgan. Program offerings include Broadway, orchestra, family, dance, comedy, rock/pop, jazz, Performances for Schools, and Sensory-Friendly Performances.
