(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The star of the Tuckerton Library Association’s annual luncheon will be a yummy topping, made right in South Jersey. Find out why “Everyone Loves Maple Syrup” during the fundraiser at Cuisine on the Green at Atlantis, Little Egg Harbor on Saturday, November 12. The event begins at 12:00pm.
Dr. Judith Vogel, a professor in the Stockton University School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, will set forth fascinating facts about production of this natural food staple derived from the sap of maple trees.
Dr. Vogel and a team of researchers began attracting media attention in 2019 by studying the feasibility of expanding South Jersey’s maple syrup industry through cutting-edge technology. They’ve tapped hundreds of trees on the 1,600-acre campus in Galloway.
Cuisine on the Green is on the picturesque grounds of the Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis, 261 Country Club Boulevard, Little Egg Harbor.
Tickets for the luncheon are available for purchase at the Ocean County Library Tuckerton Branch, 380 Bay Avenue, Tuckerton. For more information, visit the Branch, or call (609) 296-1470.
