Roxey Ballet Company and Princeton Pro Musica present "Carmina Burana"

(EWING, NJ) -- Roxey Ballet Company is thrilled to announce the return of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana this spring, marking its first staging since 2019. This electrifying one-act ballet—overflowing with passion, sensuality, and betrayal—captures the timeless themes of fate and fortune with a bold contemporary twist.

Renowned choreographer Mark Roxey and esteemed conductor Ryan Brandau unite once again to bring this masterpiece to life, fusing music and movement into a breathtaking artistic experience. Brandau, the visionary Artistic Director of Princeton Pro Musica, infuses the production with his extensive choral expertise and dynamic orchestral interpretation, while Roxey’s innovative choreography breathes new life into Orff’s dramatic and iconic score. This collaboration promises a Carmina Burana that is both visually stunning and emotionally powerful, captivating audiences with its raw energy and artistic brilliance.

Founded in 1995, Roxey Ballet is a multicultural, all-inclusive dance company dedicated to creating transformative cultural experiences through professional performances, workshops, residencies, and educational programs. Ryan Brandau, Artistic Director of Princeton Pro Musica, is a celebrated conductor renowned for his ability to elevate choral performances to extraordinary heights. His dynamic approach to Carmina Burana perfectly complements Roxey’s bold artistic vision, making this production a masterful synthesis of music and movement.

17th Annual AILEY DAY to Take Place May 3rd

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Hundreds are expected to gather in Newark for the return of the 17th annual AILEY DAY on Saturday, May 3, 2025 beginning at 10:00am at Arts High School (550 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) and ending at 6:00pm with a free performance at NJPAC's Chamber Plaza (One Center Street). AILEY DAY includes free family-friendly activities for people of all ages and abilities and dancers of all skill levels. The full day of dance immersion kickstarts with classes taught by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater alumni, faculty and students.

(NEW HOPE, PA) -- The Mill Ballet School of New Hope, PA presents a weeklong celebration in honor of International Dance Day on April 29, 2025. The celebration includes a special Open House Week, running from Monday, April 28 through Saturday, May 3, during which the school will offer free dance classes to all new visiting students. This event invites the community to discover the transformative power of dance.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Nimbus Dance presents Firebird & Other Sagas, a program of three works to be performed at the Nimbus Arts Center from May 1-3, 2025 at 8:00pm each night. (SUMMIT, NJ) -- New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble's Award-winning Artistic Director, Nancy Turano will take a final bow after 31 years at the helm of the organization. NJDTE will close its doors on June 1, 2025, after serving the New Jersey Community for 56 years.
