(BAY HEAD, NJ) -- Ready for a late summer blast from the past? The Ocean County Library's Bay Head Express will host the Rave On! Duo in a unique outdoor setting at Bay Head Borough Hall on Friday, September 6, 2024. Showtime is 6:00pm.
Settle back in the gazebo alongside Borough Hall as the “cool little rock & roll duo” of Chris and Antony performs memorable music made famous by Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison including “That’ll Be the Day,” “Not Fade Away,” “Peggy Sue,” “Pretty Woman,” “Crying,” and “Only The Lonely.”
Rave On! performs in solo, duo and trio settings. The guitarist and bassist are dedicated to the music that influenced the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and countless other artists, illustrating its timeless appeal to people of all ages.
“Rave On! started in 2009 out of love for Buddy Holly’s and Roy Orbison’s music, and the relatively small number of musicians that play their tunes,” Chris says. “We felt that this music needs to be kept alive and brought to new audiences.”
If the weather is less than promising, the performance will be moved to inside Borough Hall. Free parking is available in front of the building.
