(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre is currently presenting The Sound of Music weekends through July 30, 2023. Join Maria, Captain Von Trapp and his children in one of the most beloved musicals of all time. The production is directed and choreographed by Jessica O'Brien. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

This classic has enchanted audiences for more than 50 years, featuring a trove of cherished songs, including "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen." The Sound of Music has won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The Sound of Music is sponsored by ““Broadway Ray” Soehngen.

The ensemble includes Immanuel Archilla, Daniel Clancy, Luke Hall, Charlie Thomas Hughes, Marianna Kiselev, Ainsley Lang (also AYE Instructor), Benjamin Neller (also Rehearsal Stage Manager), and Carl Sterling Smith.

The Sound of Music is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization.

John Posada is a New Jersey based photographer specializing in photographing live theatre and music performances. For more than 15 years, John has photographed live events where he mastered the techniques of timing and capturing fast moving action under challenging lighting conditions. (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Stargazer Performing Arts will present the inaugural Jersey Shore Young Playwrights Festival on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the Duncan Smith Theater in Holmdel. This is a brand-new celebration of emerging talent from teen writers across Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, and Cape May counties. The festival will showcase original plays written by students ages 13 to 18, brought to life in a staged reading by local actors and directed by Stargazer's co-director, Jim DeVivo.
