(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre is currently presenting The Sound of Music weekends through July 30, 2023. Join Maria, Captain Von Trapp and his children in one of the most beloved musicals of all time. The production is directed and choreographed by Jessica O'Brien. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

This classic has enchanted audiences for more than 50 years, featuring a trove of cherished songs, including "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen." The Sound of Music has won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The Sound of Music is sponsored by ““Broadway Ray” Soehngen.

Koob (Max Detweiller), Emilygrace Szperlak (Elsa Schraeder), Meredith Buchholtz (Mother Abbess), Sean Dickinson (Rolf Gruber), Nancy Fueyo (Sister Berthe / Frau Ellrich), Alyssa Kiselev (Sister Margaretta), Dorothy Shaffer (Sister Sophia / Baroness Elberfeld), Edward Itte (Franz / AYE Instructor), Olivia Conti (Ursula), Anthony Greco (Herr Zeller), John C. The ensemble includes Immanuel Archilla, Daniel Clancy, Luke Hall, Charlie Thomas Hughes, Marianna Kiselev, Ainsley Lang (also AYE Instructor), Benjamin Neller (also Rehearsal Stage Manager), and Carl Sterling Smith.

The Sound of Music is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization.
