Remember Jones celebrated the sound of Meat Loaf and the music of Jim Steinman with three performances of Bat Out of Hell Live at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center from April 29 to May 1. Remember Jones performed the entire classic album from 1977 and more with a 16-piece band and special guests that include Max Weinberg and Adam Weiner (Low Cut Connie). Photographer John Posada was on hand to take some photos.
Many fans looked forward to seeing Max Weinberg perform the songs from Bat Out Of Hell that he originally performed on the album. Reportedly this was the first time since then that he's played the songs live.
The star of the show was undeniably Remember Jones. Beyond his original music, he has garnered much acclaim by taking a body of work and reviving it with theatrical concepts and large bands as he's done again with this Bat Out Of Hell show. His dedications to Queen, Amy Winehouse, Jeff Buckley, and Joe Cocker have sold out venues across the country, and has opened the door to sharing stages with such legendary acts Ronnie Spector, Darlene Love, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Buster Poindexter, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, lead vocals with Everyone Orchestra, and many more.
