(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Pleasant Valley Productions (PVP) is presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar at the Oscar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC). The production runs July 11-12 and July 17-19, 2025. This groundbreaking musical, which revolutionized the world of theatre, tells the story of the final week of Jesus' life through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

The musical features a legendary score that includes "Gethsemane," "I Don't Know How to Love Him," and "Superstar," the show explores the personal struggles and political machinations leading to the crucifixion, all set against a backdrop of electrifying rock music.

"We are incredibly excited to bring Jesus Christ Superstar to the OSPAC stage," says Scott Baird, Director of this production and Artistic Director of Pleasant Valley Productions. It’s a story about the now: about a world desperate for change, a leader trying to cut through the noise, and the people around him — struggling to understand what he stands for, and whether they can keep up. It challenges the audience to look at a familiar piece of theater with a fresh perspective. The cast and crew have been working hard to bring this vision to life and we couldn't be more excited to bring the story to our audiences at Pleasant Valley Productions!”

Pleasant Valley Productions is renowned for its high-quality theatrical presentations, and this production of Jesus Christ Superstar promises to be no exception. Audiences can expect a dynamic staging, powerful vocals, and a compelling narrative that will resonate long after the final curtain.

Performances take place July 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th at 8:00om at Oscar Schindler Performing Arts Center  (4 Boland Drive) in West Orange, New Jersey. Tickets are General Admission: $15 (bring your own lawn chair or blanket); Premium Admission:$25 (chair provided for you near the stage).
