(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre (MMT) is presenting a three-weekend run of Anything Goes from July 5-21, 2024. Anything Goes, the classic 1930s musical comedy, is the ninth mainstage show of MMT's 2024 season, with direction and choreography by Louis Palena. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

With music and lyrics by Cole Porter, an original book by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse, and a revised book by Timothy Crouse & John Weidman, Anything Goes is a rollicking good time at sea!

Set sail on the S.S. American, a luxury ocean liner traveling from New York to London. Headlining the passenger list is nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle onboard the ship is second-rate con man, Moonface Martin, currently ranked as Number 13 on the list of public enemies, but determined to break the top ten. With the help of elaborate disguises and tap-dancing hi-jinks, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart and hand, and maybe avoid being escorted off the ship to jail.

MMT’s production of Anything Goes stars Carly Schiff as Reno Sweeney, Søren Madsen as Billy Crocker, Tara Keelen as Hope Harcourt, and Jonathan Wierzbicki as Moonface Martin. Rounding out the cast of characters are Hope’s neurotic mother, Evangeline Harcourt, played by Joan Hoffman, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Hope’s wealthy fiancée, played by Rhett Commodaro, Erma, Moony’s sidekick-in-crime and a favorite among the sailors, played by Erin Wurtz, and Eli Whitney, Billy’s boss and Yale Bulldog through and through, played by John Dwyer.

With iconic musical numbers such as “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top”, “It’s De-Lovely,” and “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” audiences will be tapping in their seats at the song and dance spectacle MMT has become known for across the region.
