(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre is presenting All Shook Up weekends from August 25 through September 10, 2023. The musical features a Book by Joe Dipietro and was inspired by and features the songs of Elvis Presley. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

Get ready to shake things up! It’s 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing, hip swiveling’ young man who changes everything and everyone he meets. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night,  in this hysterical musical comedy the town is under the rule of an ultra-conservative mayor, with mixed up love stories and hijinks set to 25 of Elvis’ greatest hits.

This hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have you and your whole family jumpin’ out of their blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Performances take place Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm with matinee performances at 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are available for purchase online.

All Shook Up was the first play by Joe DiPietro to reach Broadway.  The playwright, who was born in Teaneck and grew up in Oradell, won Tony Awards for Memphis (Best Book of a Musical and Drama Desk Awards for The Toxic Avenger and Nice Work If You Can Get It.

Music Mountain Theatre has remained committed to its mission of enriching, educating, and entertaining the community through the appreciation of the arts during this difficult time. The Theatre strives to provide a safe environment for all with rigorous cleaning procedures and, more recently, the installation of state-of-the-art air scrubbers to increase indoor air quality and reduce contaminants.
