"Our His-story Month" at Dupree Gallery, Lambertville

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- For Black History Month the Dupree Gallery, Lambertville presents a show entitled “Our His-story Month” from February 3-26, 2023. This exhibition showcases the importance of black voices in the art world, institutions, and our society as a whole. The artwork on display will be from a range of artists from local and national communities, and the exhibition will be at the Lambertville location of the Dupree Gallery. Dupree Gallery is a black-owned business founded by artist James E. Dupree a native of Philadelphia and has locations in both Philadelphia and Lambertville.

“There is an excellent quality, diversity, and range of artists exhibiting in this show. They are all a variety of emerging, established, and master artists. I want the legacy I established in my 50 years in Philadelphia to resonate here in Lambertville and to continue building upon my legacy in the fourth quarter of my life.” - James E. Dupree

This cultivated showcasing of black artists, whose ages and level of notoriety vary drastically, creates a well-rounded exhibition that is sure to attract attention from an assortment of individuals both in and outside of the art community. Black History Month is an important time to raise black voices and Mr. Dupree and those at Dupree Gallery are excited to provide artists with an opportunity to be seen and appreciated.

The artists Dupree Gallery is featuring in this exhibition are: Barbara Bullock, Bernard Collins, James E. Dupree, Claes Gabriel, E.B. Lewis, Phillip M. McConnell, Alloyius Mcilwaine, Sana Musasama, Preston Philmore, Serena Saunders, Jose A. Sebourne, Siri0m Singh, Don Stephens, Raphael Tiberino, Roederick Vines, Michael A. Wallace, Richard J. Watson, and Kenny White.

There will be an opening reception on February 11th, 2023 from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

The Dupree Gallery is owned by artist James E. Dupree, and is located at 10 N. Union Street, Lambertville, New Jersey and 703 South 6th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dupree Gallery Lambertville was opened in October 2022, and is the Gallery’s newest and second location.

The Gallery on Grant to Hold Opening Reception for "Enduring Spirit" on July 12th

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- The Gallery on Grant will host an opening reception for its new art show, "Enduring Spirit," on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 6:15pm-7:30pm in the gallery, which is located inside the Axelrod Performing Arts Center. "Enduring Spirit" showcases two artists: the paintings of Toby Bergman and the sculptures of Bunnye Levi. Bergman will also give a brief discussion of her art at the reception.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- ARTS 14C will open The Fabric of a Nation on Thursday, July 2nd, a textile and fiber exhibition mounted in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States. The show gathers fourteen artists who spent the spring grappling with the unfinished and often contradictory legacy of the American Revolution — and the 250 years that followed. It will remain on view through September 11, 2026.
