(RINGOES, NJ) -- Old York Cellars is unveiling its 2024 BeauJerséy Nouveau Red Wine on Thursday, November 21. This is the first wine made from the fantastic 2024 vintage grapes.
The third Thursday in November is Beaujoulais Nouveau Day in France, celebrating the release of first wines made from freshly harvested grapes. Old York Cellars has put their own "Jersey twist" on the tradition, dubbing it "BeauJerséy Nouveau Day." The wine will be available in its Tasting Room in Hunterdon County or online at www.oldyorkcellars.com starting at noon on November 21st. The winery has only produced about 25 cases of this wine, so supplies are limited.
"This year, we had an incredible harvest and bringing it in was a team effort,” said David Wolin, owner of Old York Cellars. “Our winemakers, vineyard hands, winery staff, and even some of our intrepid Vintner’s Club Members all worked together to bring in the first harvest. It may be Beaujoulais Nouveau Day in France, but in New Jersey, it BeauJerséy Nouveau Day."
Old York Cellars' 2024 BeauJerséy Nouveau wine is made with 100% New Jersey Chambourcin grapes, a French-American hybrid that is well suit to the East Coast. This red wine is meant to be enjoyed immediately and is the perfect pairing for your upcoming Thanksgiving feasts and holiday meals.
To complement the new BeauJerséy Nouveau wines, Old York Cellars' resident chef, José Diaz, has created a special French inspired menu that compliments the flavors of the new vintage. This dining experience will be available for guests at the winery from Thursday, November 21st through Sunday, November 24th. Reservations are recommended, though walk-ins are welcome with limited availability.
