“African Princess,” Zenka Sommers
(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch is pleased to present “New Creations,” images by members of the Ocean County Artists Guild (OCAG), throughout the month of October. The exhibit occupies the Second Floor Gallery. Twenty artists are represented in the display of oils, acrylics, photography, silverpoint, watercolors, pen-and-ink, and mixed media.
The Island Heights-based Guild is a non-profit organization that promotes the arts in Ocean County. Its mission is to serve artists and the community, to offer a space for artists to train and develop, to enhance the quality of Ocean County life, and to provide an edifying experience for tourists.
The OCAG web page features information about classes for people of all skill levels, nearly 20 online “galleries,” information about community outreach efforts, an “ArtBeat” blog, a regularly-updated newsletter and membership details.
