New Jersey State Council on the Arts chosen as winner of May 2024's "See It, Share It" campaign

originally published: 06/01/2024

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts was chosen as the winner of May 2024's "See It, Share It" campaign at New Jersey Stage. The campaign awards one free month of our Main Advertising Package to someone who has shared a story from New Jersey Stage on their social media feed.  Winners are chosen by a random draw.

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, created in 1966, is a division of the NJ Department of State and a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. The Council was established to encourage and foster public interest in the arts; enlarge public and private resources devoted to the arts; promote freedom of expression in the arts; and facilitate the inclusion of art in every public building in New Jersey. The Council believes the arts are central to every element we value most in a modern society including: human understanding; cultural and civic pride; strong communities; excellent schools; lifelong learning; creative expression; and economic opportunity.

You can follow the New Jersey State Council on the Arts on Facebook and Twitter.

“New Jersey Stage is grateful when we see artists and art organizations like and share our stories,” explained Gary Wien, publisher.  “This is our way of rewarding those who help the stories get seen by a wider audience. Sharing takes just a moment, but can make a real difference. Many arts organizations do not hesitate to like or share articles from websites like Broadway World, but if more shared articles from New Jersey sites they could be just as big.  The big difference is the Jersey websites seek to shine a spotlight on the local area as their main focus..."

The Main Advertising Package at New Jersey Stage includes four banner ad sizes (300 x 250, 300 x 600, 970 x 250, and 600 x 776 - all in pixels), event pages, and enhanced editorial and link pages. The various ad sizes are placed throughout the website to increase the chances the ads get seen.  The package is available for $100 per month with discounted rates for 3, 6, and 12 months pre-paid.

To be eligible, simply share New Jersey Stage stories on Facebook, Instagram, or Threads.  Once a month, New Jersey Stage will randomly choose a date and create a list of those who have shared stories on that day. The names will be thrown into a hat and a winner will be chosen.  The winner will be notified and can use their free month at any time.  If the winner is already a current advertiser at New Jersey Stage, we have something special planned for them that will increase their exposure throughout the month.

“We’ve always thought of New Jersey Stage as a partner to the arts more than just a media outlet,” said Wien.  “Our advertising rates are much less than the competition because we believe every arts organization should have the opportunity to promote their shows and services regardless of their budgets.  The See It, Share It! campaign continues that line of thinking.  It’s our way of thanking the arts community for helping us reach our 10th anniversary as a business.”

In addition to the month of advertising, each winner will be added to the list in our links page for the campaign with a link to their website and their social media pages.

New Jersey Stage officially became a business in April 2014. For a look at the origins of the company, click here for an article on our 10th anniversary. Be sure to follow us on social media - FacebookInstagramThreads.
