Music Mountain Theatre presents "The Scarlet Pimpernel"

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre presents The Scarlet Pimpernel, the swashbuckling adventure based on the novel by Baroness Orczy, over a three-weekend run from August 23 to September 8, 2024. The Scarlet Pimpernel is a colorful window into 18th-century French and British history.

The play follows Percy Blakeney, a proper English gentleman, who takes on a dashing double identity as The Scarlet Pimpernel to save French citizens from the blood-thirsty guillotine. The Pimpernel’s exploits soon become the talk of Paris and the fanatical Agent Chauvelin will stop at nothing to catch the Pimpernel and cut off his head.

With music by Frank Wildhorn, and a book and lyrics by Nan Knighton, The Scarlet Pimpernel features such popular numbers as “Into The Fire,” “When I Look At You,” “You Are My Home,” “She Was There,” and “I’ll Forget You.”

The cast includes Jennifer Fischer, Louis Palena, John Fischer, Connor Riley, Alex Klein, Rhett Commodaro, Jared A. Williams, Michael Gearty, Mike Prikril, Jaydin Houck, Lauren Brader, Karen Cameron, Janna Collins, Alex Grushow, Madison Kotnarowski, David LaRaus, Roger Madding, Sean McReynolds, Regina Belza Mercadante, Mary Murdock, Emma Sneddon, Alex Theis, and Sharon Joy Warner.

The Scarlet Pimpernel will run on the MMT stage from August 23rd–September 8th, with 8:00pm evening performances on Fridays and Saturdays and 3:00pm matinee performances on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are available for purchase online. Music Mountain Theatre is located at 1483 NJ - 179 in Lambertville, New Jersey.

Music Mountain Theatre opened its doors on October 6, 2017 with its inaugural production of Phantom.  In addition to their Mainstage productions, wthey offer performances for Young Audiences throughout the year.  Their theatre school offers classes encompassing a range of disciplines across acting, musical theatre, and dance. It is the mission of Music Mountain Theatre to enrich, educate, and entertain the community through the study, performance, and appreciation of the arts.
