originally published: 05/22/2023

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten, opening at Music Mountain Theatre on May 26 with performances running weekends through June 18, 2023. Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of the biggest star of the era, everyone's favorite bard: William Shakespeare. Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters!

Leading the creative team through Something Rotten’s mayhem, madness, and musical mishaps is Director Jonathan Wierzbicki. He is part of the theatre’s resident company and was seen on stage previously in The Producers and Elf. Artistic director Louis Palena choreographs, with vocal direction by Sue den Outer, and costume design by Jordan Brennan.

The 37-person cast of this irresistible comedy includes John Fischer and Patrick Mertz as Nick and Nigel Bottom, Louis Palena as Shakespeare, Jordan Brennan as Nostradamus, with Jennifer Fischer, Brianna Kane, Jared Williams, Cullen Hussey, Roger Madding, Mike Prikril, Jamyson Bultemeier, Johnny Castillo, Caleb Duffy, Caleb Ferraez, Rachel Fingles, Olivia Frankenbach, Jaimie Geddes, Lauren Gregorovic, Michael Hall, Jaydin Houck, Hannah Jackson, Wyatt Kim, Alex Klein, Patrick Lavery, Chelsea Connelly Lewis, Ben Malone, Sean McReynolds, Kimberly Mertz, Emily O’Sullivan, Katie Prikril, Todd Roman, Amanda Romig, Emma Sneddon, Kira Sneddon, Tyree Taylor, Samantha Whiteman, and Julianna Zannikos.
