(SEWELL, NJ) -- Two exciting ensembles appear for the first time with Music at Bunker Hill in November. First is Windscape on November 2nd and then Sō Percussion makes a rare South Jersey stop on November 16, 2025. Performances take place at Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church in Sewell.

Windscape woodwind quintet brings arrangements of Ravel’s mother Goose Suite, Satie’s Gnossiennes, Burleigh and Beethoven. Created in 1994 by five eminent woodwind soloists, Windscape has won a unique place for itself as a vibrant, ever-evolving group of musical individualists, an "unquintet", which has delighted audiences throughout North America.

Windscape's innovative programs and accompanying presentations are created to take listeners on a musical and historical world tour--evoking through music and engaging commentary, vivid cultural landscapes of distant times and places.

As Artists-in-Residence at the Manhattan School of Music, the members of Windscape are master teachers, imparting not only the craft of instrumental virtuosity, but also presenting a distinctive concert series hailed for its creative energy and musical curiosity. The series offers the perfect setting for the ensemble to devise new, sometimes startling programs and to experiment with new arrangements and repertoire combinations. Popular programs that have emerged from this process in recent seasons include "The Roaring 20s," "The Fabulous 50s," "The Young Titan: Beethoven comes to Vienna," "East Meets West: The Music of Japan and the Impressionists," and "All-American." Windscape launched its first Manhattan School-wide Composer Commission Competition in 2009 and has since presented the premieres of works written specifically for the group by winning composers Kyle Werner, Qin Ding, Xinyang Wang and David Sepulveda.

Windscape performs on November 2, 2025 at 3:00pm at Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church (330 Greentree Road) in Sewell, New Jersey. Tickets are $30 for adults and seniors, $5 for students with ID. Hybrid format offers live and remote viewing.  Tickets are available for purchase online.

Sō Percussion presents new works for percussion quartet by Julia Wolfe, Caroline Shaw, Bryce Dessner, all exciting new music. For 25 years, Grammy-winning percussion quartet Sō Percussion has redefined chamber music for the 21st century through an “exhilarating blend of precision and anarchy, rigor and bedlam” (The New Yorker).

Special outreach program for percussion students on 11/16/25 offers free student tickets. Call (856)494-6077 for promo code.

They are celebrated by audiences and presenters for a dazzling range of work: for live performances in which “telepathic powers of communication” (The New York Times) bring to life the vibrant percussion repertoire; for an extravagant array of collaborations in classical music, pop, indie rock, contemporary dance, and theater; and for their work in education and community, creating opportunities and platforms for music and artists that explore the immense possibility of art in our time.

Their commitment to the creation and amplification of new work, and their extraordinary powers of perception and communication have made them a trusted partner for composers, allowing the writing of music that expands the style and capacity of brilliant voices of our time. Sō’s collaborative composition partners include David Lang, Julia Wolfe, Nathalie Joachim, Dan Trueman, Kendall K. Williams, Angélica Negrón, Shodekeh Talifero, claire rousay, Leilehua Lanzilotti, Bora Yoon, Olivier Tarpaga, Bobby Previte, Matmos, and many others.
