(EDISON, NJ) -- This October, join Middlesex County's Plays-in-the-Park for a production of James and the Giant Peach, a children's musical based on Roald Dahl's classic book. Performances take place October 5-6; October 12-13; and October 19, 2024.
James and the Giant Peach is a delightfully fantastical musical tale is sure to please audiences both young and old! Young James is sent to chop down an old fruit tree when he discovers a magic potion that yields an enormous peach! James suddenly finds himself inside this large piece of fruit, where he meets a crew of zany insects the size of humans! When the peach falls off the tree and rolls into the ocean, it is up to James and the insects to work together as a team to get to safety again. Featuring wickedly tuneful songs by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul, this show is sure to be a “masterpeach”!
Performances take place at 1:00pm & 4:00pm; Saturdays and Sundays, October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 at Stephen J. Capestro Theater (1 Pine Drive) in Edison, New Jersey.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12. The 1:00pm performance on Sunday, October 13, will include American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation.
Tickets are available for purchase by phone or in person at the theater, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) and checks made payable to "Middlesex County Treasurer" are accepted. Cash is not accepted.
