Once upon a time in Asbury Park, a band called Big Nurse rocked my world with a squall of feedback and thunder of rhythm right around the time punk and metal gave birth to grunge. When I heard America Part Two’s raucous single, “You Are All (…Splatter),” I immediately thought of Big Nurse.
But even better is that AP2 are makin way more waves with two tours in support of the forthcoming EP, “AP2-niverse.” The single, which is the Makin Waves Song of the Week, is one of two from the EP adding to the band’s emergence as a national act.
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “You Are All (…Splatter)” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on May 13 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com.
The first tour is as the opening act for the Cincinnati act Harbour from May 20 through June 12 from New Orleans to Seattle. Then AP2 will hit the road with Asbury faves Brick + Mortar throughout July from Brooklyn to Texas.
Another tasty tease to the EP is the high voltage “The Same.”
“AP2-niverse” follows last year’s first full-length, “Price of a Nation,” and the 2017 debut EP, “Pure.”
