Former Lowlight lead singer Renee Maskin has released her debut solo LP, “Swimming,” on Mint 400 Records.
It’s single, “We Won’t Lose It Now,” is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, the rousing jangle of “We Won’t Lose It Now” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 21 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com.
In an episode about the Jersey Shore, Renee recently was featured on Samantha Brown’s PBS travel show “Places to Love” with photographer-harmonica player Danny Clinch at his Transparent Gallery in Asbury Park.
A follow-up to “Swimming” already is in the works as is a new band with longtime Central Jersey scenester Mike Noordzy, who is featured on Renee’s new LP.
