Jersey Shore singer-songwriter Sam MacPherson recently toured from New York to L.A. with Australian songsmith Ruel.
The tour coincided with the release of Sam’s full-length debut album, “Powerlines,” a follow-up to the 2021 EP, “Songs for Sam.” The eight-song outing features several of his recent singles, including the latest, “First Place,” the Makin Waves Song of the Week.
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “First Place” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on July 7 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives here.
The Ruel tour ends tonight at L.A.’s Shrine Expo Hall, but road warrior Sam is sure to announce new dates soon.
Sam’s band includes his brother, Jack, on guitar and harmonies. Their father, Jeff, aka Zeke Moffit, is a winner of multiple Makin Waves Awards, including Best Male Artist and Best Song. Good to see these lads carrying the torch even farther.
