Makin Waves Song of the Week: "Dancing in Place" by Colossal Street Jam feat. Anthony Krizan

Veteran Jersey Shore rockers Colossal Street Jam will celebrate the release of their long-awaited “No Way to Live” LP with three shows this month, two of which feature Anthony Krizan, who also is featured on the track “Dancing in Place,” the Makin Waves Song of the Week.

Good things come to those who wait, and that couldn’t be more true for Colossal Street Jam fans, who after four years since the band’s last LP, are getting “No Way to Live” on Feb. 10 at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park.

Sharing the album release party’s bill will be Des & the Swagmatics, whose front woman, Deseree Spinks, is featured on the album, as is Jersey guitar great Anthony Krizan, who’ll also share that bill, as well as the release party on Feb. 25 at Dunellen Theatre. Anthony is featured on the bluesy boogie “Dancing in Place,” the Makin Waves Song of the Week.

As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Dancing in Place” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on Feb. 10 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin or MixCloud.

In addition to Feb. 10 at the Wonder Bar, which also will feature legendary L’Amour DJ Alex Kayne spinning all night, and Feb. 25 at Dunellen Theatre, which also will feature the classic rock-inspired jam band Resurrextion, Colossal will celebrate the release of “No Way to Live” on Feb. 23 opening for The Winery Dogs at Starland Ballroom. The Winery Dogs is an all-star power trio consisting of Dream Theatre and Mr. Big members.
